Introduction

The barcode scanning feature has been expanded in the WMS mobile application. Users can now scan barcodes using Android devices across additional modules, including Stock Management and Utility functions. This enhancement improves operational efficiency, reduces hardware dependency, and eliminates the need for specialized PDA devices.

Previous Configuration:

Barcode scanning through Android camera was previously limited to processes like Goods Receipt Note, Picking, Packing, Dispatch, and Return.

What’s New:

Barcode Scanning through Android Cameras: Barcode scanning is now available for the following additional modules:

1. Stock Management:
   • Stock Take
   • Stock Transfer
   • Stock Adjustment
     
     
2. UTILITY:
   • Search Product by Location
   • Search Location by Product
   • Label Printing
   • Pick Face Replenishment

This functionality allows users to scan barcodes with Android devices across a range of warehouse operations, enhancing task accuracy and speed.

Advantages:

1. Cost Reduction: By utilizing existing Android devices, businesses can significantly lower equipment costs associated with specialized PDAs.
2. Increased Flexibility: This enhancement allows users to perform barcode scanning without being tethered to specific hardware, facilitating smoother operations.

How to Use

1. Update the WMS Mobile Application:
   • Ensure the latest version of the WMS mobile app is installed on your Android device
     
     
2. Scanning Process:
   • Navigate to the desired module (e.g., Stock Adjustment).
   • Tap the camera icon to start barcode or QR code scanning.
   • Scan the barcode for the Location and SKU.
   • The system will display the scanned product for adjustment or the appropriate action.
     
     
     
3. Availability:
   The camera icon for scanning is available in all operational processes, including:
   • Stock Take
   • Stock Transfer
   • Stock Adjustment
   • Search Product by Location
   • Search Location by Product
   • Label Printing
   • Pick Face replenishment
