Business Use Case

Sellers using the Order Management System (OMS) often create promotions that target a wide range of products or categories. However, there are scenarios where specific products need to be excluded from these promotions due to business requirements such as excluding new launches and high selling products from the promotions.

Sellers often wants to exclude specific products from Gift with Purchase promotions and the ability to upload an Excel file containing the SKUs to be excluded streamlines this process, enabling sellers to easily define exclusions based on promotion criteria like the product categories, promotion at the store level, order total, and product quantity.

Key Capabilities

Provide a user-friendly interface to upload an Excel file containing the SKUs to be excluded during promotion creation.
Validate the uploaded file to ensure correct format and compatibility with OMS requirements.

3. Promotion Criteria Integration:

Enable exclusions to be defined for promotions based on the following criteria:
- Product categories.
- Store-level promotions.
- Order total thresholds.
- Product quantity thresholds.

4. Validation and Feedback:

Validate the uploaded SKUs to ensure they exist in the OMS database.
Notify the user if any SKUs in the file are invalid or do not match the current product catalog.

User Guide

Login > Promotions
Click on Create Promotion button on the top right of the grid.
Select the promotion type > Non-marketplace Integrated.
Choose Gift with Purchase promotion from the available promotions.
Enter details as shown below
- Promotion Name
- Sales Channel Store
- Date Range & Time
- Promotion Criteria (Select one)
  - Categories
  - Store Wide
  - Order Total
  - Product Quantity
Download the template file from Exclude product section at the bottom of the screen
Input the SKU’s you want to exclude from the promotion in the file.
Save the file and upload it from the browse button given in the Bulk product upload
Click on Create promotion.
Once created it appears in the grid as Upcoming.
