Introduction
A new feature in the WMS mobile app (PDA) now allows users executing pick pool orders to receive real-time updates when an order is cancelled mid-picking. If an order is cancelled, the information will be displayed after the current product card is completed. This feature enhances picking accuracy by ensuring pickers only process active orders, reducing unnecessary picks from cancelled orders. If an item has been picked for a cancelled order, a put-away task will be generated to return it to storage.
Previous Configuration
Previously, when an order was cancelled mid-picking, the picker was not informed in real-time or post picking, which could lead to unnecessary picking of items for orders that were no longer valid. This created inefficiencies and required additional time to manually manage cancelled items.
What’s New
With this enhancement, the WMS mobile app alerts(Information) the user if an order has been cancelled during an active pick pool process. If an order is cancelled:
- Unpicked items are automatically removed from the picking list.
- Picked items generate a put-away, allowing easy return to storage.
This feature, available only in the PDA Product Card view (not List view), keeps the picking process current, accurate, and efficient.

How to Use

Prepare Pick Pool on Web Portal:
Step 1 : Create Pick Pool and download pick pool sheet.

Begin Picking Process on PDA:
Step 1 : Log in to the WMS mobile app and scan the pick pool number from the "Pick by Pool" menu.
Step 2 : Product cards will display for scanning and picking.
Step 3 : Start picking process, Scan location, SKU, serial number(If applicable), Bin.

Mid-Picking Order Cancellation:
Step 1 : Cancel an order from the pick pool list in the web portal.
Step 2 : Order status will update to "Awaiting Cancellation."

Notification on PDA:
Step 1 : After completing the current product card, a cancellation notification appears (if current card has any cancelled order), listing picked and unpicked items of the cancelled order.
Step 2 : Unpicked items are automatically removed, and the picking list refreshes.
Step 3 : Confirming cancellation generates a put-away task for picked items.

Put Away:
Step 1 : From the primary Order panel, navigate to the Cancelled module,
Step 2 : In the secondary panel, select the Put Away Tab.
Step 3 : Search the product and click on Put-Away action and complete the put away process.
