Release Note
Release Date: September 12, 2024
Introduction
In the Warehouse Management System (WMS), we have introduced a new feature that allows users to print a combined Shipping Label and Delivery Note on a single document. This feature improves the fulfillment process by merging two essential documents. One half of the document contains delivery note details, while the other half features a shipping label.
What’s New:
Previously, users had to print separate documents for shipping labels and delivery notes, requiring multiple prints. With the new feature, users can print both documents on a single page, which improves efficiency, saves resources, and reduces errors.
This new feature is particularly beneficial for warehouses that handle large volumes of orders, as it streamlines the fulfillment process by reducing the number of prints and manual steps.
Advantages:
- Improved Accuracy: Reduces the risk of attaching the wrong shipping label to a delivery note, ensuring each package has the correct documentation.
- Increased Efficiency: Streamlines the fulfillment process by combining two essential documents into one, reducing the number of prints.
- Cost-Effective: Lowers printing costs by reducing paper usage and minimizing the need for additional adhesive labels.
How to use:
Step 1: Navigate to the Order Module.
Step 2: In the secondary panel, select the Picker Unassigned tab.
Step 3: Select the orders for which you need to print the combined shipping label and delivery note.
Step 4: From the bulk action menu, select Shipping Label and Delivery Note.
- Eligible orders will be listed, excluding those with multi-parcel enabled.
- If a shipping label is unavailable for a particular order, an error message will appear next to the order. The user can choose to select only orders with available shipping labels.
Step 5: Click on Generate.
▪ The user will be redirected to the Bulk Activity tab, where they can download and print the combined shipping labels and delivery notes.
Summary:
The introduction of the combined Shipping Label and Delivery Note feature enhances the order fulfillment process by consolidating documents, reducing costs, improving accuracy, and increasing operational efficiency. This new functionality simplifies warehouse operations and ensures accurate shipping and delivery documentation.
