Introduction

In Warehouse Management System (WMS) V. 3.0, we have introduced a new feature that enhances the manifest creation process, making it more efficient for customers managing multiple carrier services under the same parent carrier or logistic partner.

What’s New

Previously, users were required to create separate manifests for each carrier service. For example, if a customer has 100 orders using Shopee, and Shopee offers five different services (e.g., SPX Express, SPX Point, SPX Economy, etc.), these services were created as separate carriers in the system and users were required to create a manifest for each service separately.

The need to create multiple manifests for different services under the same carrier led to inefficiency and increased workload.

To address the above issue, we have introduced a feature that allows customers to create a single manifest for all orders associated with the same parent carrier/ logistic partner.

Importance of Manifest Creation by Parent Code/ Logistic Partner

• Efficiency: This feature allows users to create a single manifest for all orders under the same parent carrier, streamlining the manifest creation process.
• Reduced Workload: By minimizing the number of manifests to be created, users can focus on other tasks, improving overall productivity.
• Simplified Process: The new feature simplifies the manifest generation process, making it more user-friendly and reducing the chance of errors.

How to Use

1. Carrier Setup:
   • • When creating or editing a carrier, manually add the 'Parent Code' for non-integrated and marketplace integrated carriers.
     • For WMS integrated carriers, the 'Parent Code' will be auto populated, same as ‘Seller Logistic Partner’.
       
     • The ‘Parent Code’ can also be created/updated in bulk through ‘Bulk Upload’ option. For that, user is required to download the new template.
       
2. Manifest Creation through Web:
   1. Go to the Dispatch module.
      
      
   2. Select all orders associated with the same 'Parent Code/Logistic Partner.' Generate a single manifest for these orders through bulk action.
      
      OR
      Generate a single manifest by scanning all the orders/tracking number that belong to the same parent code/logistic partner.
      
      
      
3. Manifest Creation through Application:
   • Create a manifest by scanning the orders:

     Step 1: Go to the Dispatch module.

     Step 2: Navigate to ‘By Order’.

     Step 3: Select ‘SLP’ tab.

     Step 4: Select the Parent Code/Logistic Partner from the drop-down menu.

     Step 5: Scan all the orders that are associated with this Parent Code/Logistic Partner.

     Step 6: Click on ‘Complete and Create Dispatch.’
     
     
     

   • Create a Manifest by selecting orders from Awaiting Dispatch screen:

     Step 1: Go to the Awaiting Dispatch tab.

     Step 2: Navigate to ‘By Order’.

     Step 3: Select all the orders with the same Partner Code/Logistic Partner.

     Step 4: Click on ‘Create Manifest.’

     Step 5: Select the dispatch date and time.

     Step 6: Click on ‘Complete and Create Dispatch.’
