We have introduced a significant update to the auto-receiving flow for users utilizing the LPN (License Plate Number) flow through the mobile app.
This enhancement streamlines the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) process by introducing a more intuitive and controlled method for managing LPNs and SKUs during receiving.
Advantages:
- Enhanced control over the LPN flow during receiving.
- Improved flexibility in handling multiple SKUs under a single LPN.
- Clear and actionable notifications to guide users through the receiving process, reducing errors and improving efficiency.
What’s new:
Previous Configuration:
- The previous setup required LPN and SKU scanning, after which the user was redirected to the counting screen with two buttons: "Update" and "Save and Close."
- Clicking "Save and Close" would close the LPN with the current count, preventing any further SKU scans under the same LPN, limiting flexibility in the receiving process.
Key Enhancements:
- LPN and SKU Scanning
- Upon initiating the GRN process by clicking "Start Process," users will now first be prompted to scan the LPN number, followed by the SKU/UPC.
- After both scans, the user will be redirected to the counting screen to input the received quantity.
- New Buttons on Counting Screen
- Next SKU: Clicking this button redirects the user back to the SKU scan screen, allowing them to scan the next SKU using the same LPN. The LPN remains open, preventing it from progressing to the put-away stage until the user decides to close it.
- Close LPN: Upon clicking this button, the LPN is closed, the received quantity is confirmed, and the LPN moves to the put-away stage. The user is redirected to the SKU scan screen, where they must scan a new LPN to continue the GRN process if required.
- Reopen LPN
- If the user scans an LPN that has been closed but not yet put away, they will receive a notification: "LPN is closed. Do you want to reopen LPNXXXX". Confirming this will reopen the LPN for further processing.
- If the put away process has already been started for this LPN, scanning it will result in an error message, ensuring that the integrity of the process is maintained.
