We are excited to announce the release of the Multiple Picking Assignment Methods feature for Warehouse Management System (WMS). This feature empowers warehouse administrators with the flexibility to choose from Four different picking assignment methods at the warehouse level, enhancing order fulfillment processes to suit different scenarios. These methods include Alphabetical Order Location, FIFO (First-In, First-Out) / LILO (Last-In, Last-Out), LIFO (Last-In, First-Out), and Lowest Available Stock Priority. Batch expiry first would always work as top priority for batch enabled products.
Key Features:
1. Picking Assignment Methods:
FIFO (First-In, First-Out) / LILO (Last-In, Last-Out):
Assigns orders based on the oldest available stock of the SKU in specific locations.
Picking lists prioritize items with the earliest receipt date.
This method is applicable only for batch-enabled products. In these methods, product selection and prioritization are based on the order of receipt. Please ensure the product has batch information enabled for these methods to function properly.
LIFO (Last-In, First-Out):
Prioritizes items based on their receipt date, with the most recently received items given preference.
Picking lists reflect this priority.
This method is applicable only for batch-enabled products. In these methods, product selection and prioritization are based on the order of receipt. Please ensure the product has batch information enabled for these methods to function properly.
Lowest Available Stock Priority:
Allocates locations based on the lowest available stock quantity of a specific SKU.
Picking lists prioritize locations with the lowest stock levels for efficient inventory utilization.
Alphabetical Stock Location:
Assigns orders based on the alphabetical location names.
Picking lists reflect this alphabetical sorting.
2. Configuration Options on Warehouse Settings:
Warehouse administrators can configure picking assignment methods at the warehouse level.
Clear user interface elements and tooltips guide users in selecting and applying the desired picking assignment method.
How to Use:
Accessing Configuration Options:
Log in as a warehouse administrator.
Navigate to the warehouse settings section.
Find the 'Picking Assignment Methods' configuration panel.
Selecting a Picking Method:
Choose from the available methods: FIFO, LILO, LIFO, Lowest Available Stock Priority, or Alphabetical Order Location.
Save your selection to apply the chosen method.
Generating Picking Lists:
Once a picking assignment method is selected, the WMS will automatically generate picking lists for orders based on the chosen method.
Picking lists will be optimized according to the selected method, enhancing your warehouse operations.
Note for Batch-Enabled Products:
For batch-enabled products, the Latest expiry batch will be located, and the corresponding setting will be applicable, irrespective of the selected method.
We believe that this enhancement will significantly improve your warehouse efficiency and order fulfillment process.
The Warehouse Management System (WMS) now offers Four configurable picking assignment methods, including FIFO, Batch Expiry First, LILO, LIFO, Lowest Available Stock Priority, and Alphabetical Order Location.
