Enhanced Price Calculation for Split Order Action

We are pleased to announce the release of enhancement addressing the Price Calculation for split order functionality. This enhancement improves the overall efficiency and accuracy in order processing post split action.

Business Use Case 

This release introduces improvements to the order splitting and cancellation process in the OM. It addresses the issue of order amount discrepancies and false information appearing in the OMS when orders are split or partially canceled. The enhancements aim to ensure accurate calculations of order amounts, discounts, shipping fees, and taxes, providing a more reliable and transparent order management experience.

Key Capabilities 

Splitting Orders: When an order is split in the OMS, the order amount will be calculated based on the individual item prices and quantities available in each order. This ensures that the order amount accurately reflects the items included in each split order.

Item-Level and Order-Level Discounts: If discounts are applied at the item level, they will be appropriately applied to the respective split order where the discounted item is present. For order-level discounts, the discount amount will be calculated using weighted pricing logic and applied to the split orders accordingly.

Shipping Fee Calculation: In cases where shipping fees are specified at the order level, the fees will be calculated based on weighted pricing logic to determine the appropriate fee for each split order. If shipping fees are set at the item level, they will be added to the respective split order where the item is present.

Tax Calculation: Taxes applied at the item level will be displayed in the respective split order where the item is present, ensuring accurate tax calculations. For taxes applied at the order level, the order weighted logic will be used to calculate the tax amount among the split orders, maintaining consistency and accuracy.
